No trauma. I /adore/ the song and have been known to (especially when living on Lake Ontario) to break out into it, at the least likely moments. My DH even woke me up one night, becasue I was singing the same 8 lines in my sleep!

Wow! I thought I was one of the only people who liked that song. My dad used to tell me bout the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald when I was a child. (Not the song, but the story) So when I first heard the song, I was immediately entranced by it.
