I would have been home an hour or two ago, except I got caught up in, of all things, a political discussion with Carl. I don't think I've ever had that long a conversation with that man, but it was quite nice. Of course, we're both screaming liberals, so it was mostly a mutual, commiserating rant, but it was nice.
So after doing NO corset business last week, I got paid for Jackie O'Lantern, settled on a price with Dragonfly, took a commission and partial payment from the other Dragonfly (Susan), and was paid in full for yet another corset. If I weren't swimming in debt, I'd be ecstatic. As it is, I'm strung out from the road, and so tired I could collapse right here. I got a lot of flirting packed into this one half-weekend, and it'll hold me a while. As I told Carl, I'm as touchy-feely as I am at faire because I can't touch anyone the rest of the week. And I LOVE throwing Firefly quotes back and forth with Eric.
Oh, and Eileen Merle-Rao gives the BESTEST hugs. I love that woman.
