So when you see replays of Lance crossing the line at the time trial, you may see the red race officials' car behind him. Look at the man in the passenger seat. Look familiar? It's John Kerry.

There was a FABULOUS interview with him in the morning coverage, walking about why he thinks Lance would make a great politician, "For the right party, I hope!" he laughed. Then he did a Bob Roll impression which was utterly hysterical if you've spent three weeks watching Bob Roll. Sadly, they didn't show the former part on the evening edition. One of the Active.com bloggers said that absolutely everyone in France knew who Kerry was, which impressed him, as the Premiere of France could walk by most Americans-- himself included-- and not have a clue. He also said Kerry's just about as tall in person as he looks on camera.

I guess I'm not surprised he was there-- I caught more than one glimpse of his LiveStrong band during the campaign. I knew I liked him for a reason!
