So while yes, watching the Tour is enthralling for me because of its grace and power and strategy, I'm not blind to the...er...aesthetics of the thing. It's just not my primary motivation.

Having said that, I no sooner got over snickering about Brad McGee's exceedingly, ermm, revealing skinsuit for the opening time-trial than Tom Boonen demonstrates to the world this morning just how happy he was to win Stage Three.

I love this race. Not many sporting events that can cause a most un-Wenchlike blush.
