This took place via the webchat feature of one of the netdating sites I'm on. I swear it literally made my jaw drop, and I laughed helplessly until the dog gave me odd looks. I'm not ecstatic to be back in the dating world, but gems like this make it almost worth it. I should add the man is, according to his profile, in his early 40s, educated, and intelligent, and he claims to be handsome. Which, unfortunately, isn't quite true to this beholder's eye.

Oh, Chris, if only you lived closer, you could be my Calgon.

I creamed him-- four out of five games. Go, me! It was much fun.

And I have a new tip for myself: whenever possible, do something new on a date. That way, even if the date goes South, you have something nice and shiny and new in your life. I owe chai latte to Opera Singer, and bison burgers, now, to Comic Book Guy. Well, bison burgers and the wonderful sense of contentment one only gets from anihillating someone utterly. Rowr!
