Verizon. Again.

So my 'net access is haphazard, at best. Sometimes I'm on for hours, sometimes ten minutes, sometimes 30 seconds before the connection goes out again. Verizon DSL checked the line, and apparently, I'm getting exactly EIGHT PERCENT of my signal. Not eighty, not eighteen-- eight. I rarely use my landline-- that phone's actually been unplugged for a couple of weeks. When the DSL tech had me plug it in, sure enough, full of static. Verizon analog repair can get someone out here between 8am and 6pm. Isn't that convenient? "I'm sorry-- I work. I can't be here then. Isn't there some time in the evening?" "No. I don't know what to tell you." Thanks.
The next weekend I have off is June 4th. So apparently, this is what I'll be doing. Waiting for Verizon. Woo. They did suggest I have the landlord check the interface box, but when I called the Korman office, they sighed and said, "The box isn't on our property. We tell them this all the time." So back to Verizon analog repair, who says they'll send a tech out to the box, but they can't get anyone there til Tuesday. So one way or the other, unless this problem clears up on its own-- which it might-- I'm iffy with online for a while.
Wonderful.
