In other news, saw a house in East Falls tonight. It's four bedrooms, and has an enormous backyard for a city house. The only problem with it, really, is that it was last inhabited by four college guys-- and it shows. I mean, there's a sign on the bathroom door that says "restroom." The shelves in the kitchen are labeled. The hardwood floors are painted brown. All the bedroom doors have locks. Also, there's horrible carpet in the front room (though that's the only carpeted room) and the stairs are kind of narrow, and very steep. And the basement is unfinished, damp, and smells moldy. Oh, and there are no air conditioners.

But having said that, three of those bedrooms are pretty damned big. They're putting in a second bathroom, and redoing the floors. I hope that doesn't mean repainting them, cos that just sucks. It's in a nice neighbourhood, and on not-too-steep of a hill. I'm going to have to Google the phone number of the management company, cos I didn't catch the name.

Well, more places to see this week. I did realise living up the hill in Manayunk isn't something I'm going to be happy about come winter. Lower Manayunk, though, yeah. That I could do.

Lower Manayunk = win.
The house sounds promising...the painted floors thing reminds me of a house I rented in Conshohocken where someone had put area carpets down and then painted the bare wood around rugs. It was Quite Something.
