I am toying with the idea of going back to London, for a proper trip this time. Possibly in mid-September. I have several wedding dresses that need to be done or substantially nearer completion by then. But the weather's still nice, and with some careful timing, I can catch four glorious Shakespeare productions. I'd miss two weekends of Faire, but this is why I have a fabulous manager. More troubling, I might miss Yom Kippur. Though...it's not like I go to services any more, since they started charging out the ear for them at Irvine. I generally spend the day in meditation while I fast.

Oh...I wonder if I could go to services in London, like I did in 1989? I believe that may have been the only time while over there that I felt acutely homesick-- I sat listening to the solemn prayers, turning my year's repentance over in my mind, and cried. For what, I'm not entirely sure. But it was still a beautiful day, and I treasure it still.
