Look at the photo. I find it utterly terrifying now. Ten years ago, I probably would have thought it was weird.
Apparently, Obama is livid. Good. I know I am. Thankfully, it being New York, there will be much cursing and yelling, then everyone will go out for a knish*. I'm fine with that.
*Unless they're dealing with PTSD, in which case, I hope they feel better soon.

Date: 2009-04-28 05:44 am (UTC)9/11 was a major event as I knew two members of the NYFD that were lost that day. We had trained together at Va. Beach's High Angle School. I also had to drive in one of the truckloads of supplies to the Javit's center.
The photo that the Times ran was specifically chosen to evoke the memory of that day. Compaired to the coverage on CNN which clearly shows the paint job that is unique to SAM 28000 and SAM 29000, the planes used by the President.
Somethings up, but I still cannot figgure it out.
And frankly, that worries me more.
