ysobelleSo while I've been dealing with the rental office here in good faith, trying to figure out what happened to one check they say is missing and of which I have a cancelled copy, and one month I can't seem to find at all, and while the woman in the office has been making civil noises at me, bitch put an eviction notice on my door this weekend.
It's not like my rent checks have stopped coming. The entirely-missing check is from JULY. I've paid my rent every month here for EIGHT YEARS. I neither ignored her nor said I wasn't going to pay her. I've told her honestly that one check seems to be their problem, and one I'm still looking for. We've talked several times about this-- and I've been the one calling her, cos she can't seem to figure out how to pick up the phone and call me, even to tell me she never got the fax that has now been sent, oh, three or four times. Never once did she say, "This must get resolved now." Never once did she say anything about eviction.
I'm blindingly angry.
It doesn't help that all three of the measurement sheets from Salon Con have gone missing. I tore through every last place in this apartment they could conceivably be: nowhere to be found. Now I have to find some way to contact these women and get their measurements and information again.
Dammit.
