First off? Huge thanks to
mirroreyes and
surlywench for a fabulous weekend. It's a HUGE load off my mind.
I see now what my Mom meant when I first went to see my aunt last week. She really wasn't quite right then. Today, she was much improved. She's out of ICU, and back in the Neurological ward. So that's good.
The bad, unfortunately, is that she had another seizure yesterday, and if she's going to suffer the ill-effects of it, it'll show up in the next day or two. They've started her on her new, additional medicine, which should help. This was the stuff she should have started taking a few weeks ago, as we knew her standard medicine wasn't helping as much as it used to. She didn't want to start it because she was afraid of the possible side effects. We see how well that worked.
I had dinner with my family tonight. My niece, while still adorable, is horribly spoiled. I think my sister and brother-in-law too often reason with her when they need to be firm. "I don't think you should do that because..." is good, but sometimes, "No, because I said so" is better. Still, she's a good kid. My nephew is adorable.
There is still a reserve with my family. They have not asked why I stopped speaking to them for three months. That in itself is now an issue for me. But I mentioned my trip to London, and no one had frothing fits on the floor. I was bracing myself for that.
I love my dog.
That's all for now.
