These arrived yesterday. I watched the mailwoman put them in my box as I drove up, finally arriving home from the weekend.

I keep looking at them, staring.

It just hasn't sunk in.

How can I help? I'm thinking of going over the 8th, and coming back the 19th. It's best to avoid weekends for flying. More expensive then.

Do not pet all the ink off them between now and January. And for gruh's sake, put them somewhere safe where you will NOT lose them, and post it in your journal so you can find the post later.
(I speak from experience here, having "misplaced" airline tickets by putting them in the outside pocket of the suitcase I'd be using when I traveled [safe enough, and handy], then promptly forgetting where I'd put them.[cue panic])

They are on my fridge, where I can see them constantly and be reminded that yes, by G-d, I do have something to look forward to.

I did. I knew I had put a card for the travel agent I used in my suitcase and went to find it so I could phone and see if I could get replacement tickets. There they were, nestled against her card and some brochures she had given me.
Now I put important stuff like that in my underwear drawer.
