So I'm sitting here with my brand-new Instinct. It's finally, finally here! First impressions?

I hate it.

Christ, just fucking kill me. Trying to navigate the browser in this thing is horrendous. With the Treo, the keyboard is always there. With the Instinct, you have to leave whatever screen you're on to bring up the keyboard and enter every field-- should you need to sign in somewhere-- individually, going back ad forth from screen to keyboard. So I can't easily log in to LJ. Or the Wench board. Or the other places that amuse me when I'm bored.

Is the iPhone like that, too? Do I have to go back to a damned Treo?

I'll let you use mine next time we see each other (ie second week of faire) but no, the keyboard will take up half the screen but you can see what you are doing...

They should throw you into the Mogul, the htc Diamond, or the Touch Dual. These all have full keyboards as well as the touch screen capabilities.
