Now, how much fun is this? It's just adorable! Even when the Doctor tells you, "You're not good enough. Yet."

And yes, you can play via your computer.
I'll have to post more about this weekend later. The first day of Fling was super. The second...fizzle. I had to admit I was in absolutely no fit state to drive by the end. I should NOT have gotten into my car. If it happens again, I'm going to nap before I leave. What makes it worse is that participant parking is now the back-ass end of nowhere. It's about 20 minutes to get from the bottom of the field-- which will absolutely turn into an utter quagmire in the least rain-- to my booth. Just kill me.
I got several comments on how much weight I look like I've lost. Er...two pounds since most of these people ssw me, but thanks. And apparently, since I wore a blue patchwork skirt, my Goth cred is in shambles. My friends just stared at me: "You're wearing two pieces, and not all black!" I guess, perhaps, this is an unsubtle way of pointing out that perhaps I wear too many dresses in black.
I made Bob watch "The Stolen Earth" in the booth today. I'm insidious.

Date: 2008-06-30 10:19 am (UTC)They really should consider some sort of shuttle for at least people with health issues - I overheard one woman complaining that walking that far was aggravating her asthma, and that it could be a deal breaker for her. I'm assuming she was one of the vendors. She was walking a little bit ahead of me and had to stop to use her inhaler. If August and September are anything like last year (UNGODLY hot), the faire runs the risk of having people drop like flies just from the walk from the lot to the staff entrance. I did notice that they're working on an exit to the one side road, which will be quite nice on Sunday nights when everyone is trying to leave after finale. Still doesn't help us in the mornings. ;)

Date: 2008-06-30 11:14 pm (UTC)Sigh. Who am I kidding? At some point, I KNOW I'm just going to say "fuck it!" and leave as much as I can. And I HATE that.
I'm thinking of writing to Carrie again. My booth manager Allie said the same thing to me: walking out, she saw people about to drop, and thought, "Crap-- they're between my EMT bag and me."
