At last, and after entirely too much idiocy with Sprint, I placed my call to London, and ordered my fabric. I got the same three silks I bought before: one metre of each. £195 for the silk, and £50 for shipping.

At least I had the presence of mind to also say, hey, throw in some swatches if you have anything interesting. I just wish my mother hadn't said, "Oh, you shouldn't order those until you're sure those people still want their corsets." Shudder. Thanks, Mom. You have a gift of saying exactly the right thing to send my heart through my stomach to my feet.

All I'm looking forward to now is London in the Spring. I WILL go, dammit. I swear. And I'll have company this time, so no more slacking all day and wasting my precious time there.

Speaking of wasting time, back to the salt mines. I have many more patterns to draft-- Ryan's coming tomorrow, and they have to be done. The applications for NELA's FFF and Fairie Fest are in, as is my application for a new airport badge. I get fingerprinted tomorrow, though it'll take two to three weeks to actually get my badge after that. It's not as bad as it was: after 9/11, badging took months. Perhaps this time round, it might even go faster, as I've been badged twice before. I'm not counting on anything, of course. It'll take what it takes. I'll be in before Christmas, most likely. And the busy season runs through Valentine's Day.
