As of July 21st, I will no longer be employed by RMA. I got called in YET AGAIN on Wednesday, as I may have mentioned, and finally snapped. "You want my two weeks? Here it is. We'll just all agree this job has been a disaster for me, and thanks very much." So there is, of course, the usual "Oh, fuck, NOW what?", but, of course, a great deal of relief as well. I'll temp as I need to, keep my insurance through COBRA, and we'll see what happens. I have a potential client coming tomorrow, hopefully foxglove_8778 and mirroreyes are coming to minion, and I'll survive. I have a wonderful, fairly-creepy idea for "The Little Mermaid" (muhahaha, gypsybaby1!), and more ideas where that came from. I also need to get some chemises done for "quick" cash when we open. I've started researching art and craft shows around here-- I'll look first, then try to decide where I want to start exhibiting.

This could, of course, have come at a worse time. I'll get my last paycheck on August 4th, just before we open. It also means I'll be free for the birth of my nephew David on July 27th. And his bris, on August 3rd. And Summer Youth Day at faire, August 2nd. Yes, it could be worse.

But don't worry-- I'll go back to blogging the Tour soon enough.

yay for not beating their heads into mush!!! It seems best heading into season that you won't be having to slog at a day job and can focus on filling orders and such. This will be good, you'll see!
