I just got my review at work. It appears I'm doing a crap job. Why? I'm just not focussed enough. Imagine that!

They as much as said they know I'm leaving one day. Well, now that I've been told I'm not getting a raise, and left with the impression any yearly bonus is in doubt, well....



Dammit.

As for those pesky review people...you should have pointed out that you are absolutely focused. Just not on what they want you to be.

Start the job search as fast as you can without taking time off or that sort of thing. And without making yourself feel paranoid. To that end, play the espionage game....ask them what you can do to improve (acting job) if you can stand it. There was one time I could not do this...but I've had to several times.

The asking them how to improve will often stall them. They have to work with somebody who's trying. Get them on your side as much as you can (all acting) as if you were a spy for another government or something. Not being funny, this is exactly what I've done to make myself feel better about a crappy situation like that.

Oh, and get that job search going.
