So now it's my ears. Sigh.
Jan. 3rd, 2007 05:06 pmWell, on the whole, I'm getting better. Nose not so stuffy, not coughing as much, yay.
The weird thing, though? I start the day being able to hear out of both ears just fine. By bedtime, however? I can only hear out of the right. What the hell's up with THAT?
Second Life continues to be interesting. While I seem to hang mostly with the Goth or Durannie crowd, I have taken a few broadly exploratory ventures into the world at large, and discovered a few things. If I can find some of the conversations, I'll post them. They're priceless in their stupidity. But I guess I should expect that in a world where one can actually buy bukkake-- yes, an honest-to-G-d pearl necklace, for example-- conversations like, "Help me! Oh, help!" "What's wrong?" "I can't find a good sex club!" are inevitable. (My parting shot in THAT convo: "Well, good luck to you; I'll be over there trying to find a wall to bang my head against.")
On the flip side, though, I've learned about terraforming, which is pretty neat. I've learned a lot about editing existing shapes, and I'm starting to learn how to manipulate the basic building blocks of the world, called "Primitives," or "prims," for short. I've seen the most beautiful gardens and fantastic structures. And I've met some really lovely people.
It's almost always interesting, if nothing else.
