A friend of mine has said she's looking for a roomate. We haven't spent much time together, but she seems pretty nice and at least nominally mature and stable-- as much as any of us are at this point in our lives. But the thought of having a roommate again is really a 50/50 split for my brain at this point.
ANY reduction in rent would be a huge help.
An actual house, rather than an apartment, would just rock. O, for a garden!
Sharing utilities would also reduce my monthly outlay.
Having a roommate might get me out of the damned house once in a while-- and no, not out of murderous need to flee.
On the other hand, I'm difficult to live with. I'm VERY particular about my messes.
I AM messy.
I like to wander my house in various states of undress, and/or sing. Late at night.
I'm used to my idiot dog. Other people might not be.
She has three cats. I have three cats. Oh, G-d.
Not that it's an issue now, but when I'm in a relationship-- again some day, by G-d!-- I like not having someone else in the house.
I'll be thinking about this one a while. Thankfully, I have a few months.
