Oh, sigh.

I was having such a wretched evening, and not for any reason in particular. Talked to an old friend from New College with whom I haven't spoken in several years-- in between her tending to her toddler. THAT was a surprise. I was actually more surprised that I hadn't thought of her becoming a mother. She'd had a bunch of medical issues in school, and I guess I never considered she'd procreate. But it's lovely she has.

Ran out after work to get ribbon. Well, JoAnn's was having a sale, but that's really only useful if they HAVE the stuff. Called Mom, who reminded me that "one of those craft places-- Michael's?" would have it. Back out into the snurries (snow flurries) I go, checking the voicemail (sorry, Betty-- I had the phone in one ear and the nice but clueless JoAnn's stock guy in the other), and Betty is cheerfully reminding me that Over the Rhine is playing The Chameleon on Saturday! They played two shows here tonight, and I missed them both: first one sold out, second one past my new bedtime.

And then, despite the Kit Kat bar, I stopped at Baskin Robbins on the way back. Yes, that coupon off the 'net was perfectly valid. Yum!

And West Wing was excellent, despite the fact that I missed the first ten minutes.

Feisty Diva will be here Saturday morning, and there will be much silk and organza corsetty digital goodness with Kyle. I'm very, very psyched about that.
