I just bought the most beautiful pen for my shop: it's an Italian pewter-handled quill, with a pointing hand as a nib. It was $20 at Barnes & Noble. I've been eyeing it for days.
I also bought a set of Windsor & Newton inks on sale in an art shop in London. I must have known, somehow. It's just that I cannot STAND when you go to create this whole atmosphere in a shop: period instruments and clothes and all, then whip out a Bic to write someone up. I'm going to do the best I can this year.

Did you find your roses yet? I looked at Lowes, but nothing that would suit you could be found.
