ysobelleI found The Fucking Cable (tm). I FireWire'd the laptop to the desktop. The desktop obstinately refused to tell me it could see the laptop, then freaked out when I shut the laptop down. That was last night. Tonight, nothing. I tried to restart the laptop with the OSX disc 1. It got to the first menu, then stopped responding, though it recognised the disc, and the cursor still moves.
I want to cry. I haven't had day one of trouble with this thing, but now it's baffling everyone.
