It wasn't a false friend, really-- just someone I used to really trust, and support, who apparently doesn't feel I'm owed the same consideration. Like I said, I kind of saw this coming. But again, as a certain Norwegian put most succinctly, "Just because something's inevitable doesn't make it any less sad."
